About gift memberships
Membership to some of our partner gardens can be purchased as a gift using Candide. If you have been gifted a membership, you’ll receive an email containing details of the membership and the garden, as well as a link to activate the membership.
Follow the steps in this article to complete the activation.
Activating a gift membership
Open the gift email and note that it specifies the date by which the membership must be activated; ensure that you complete these steps before that date and before you intend to visit the garden.
Click the link to “Get my membership”. This will open a browser tab to start the activation process.
Confirm that you’re ready to activate the membership by selecting ‘Continue with activation’. If you chose to activate later, just close the window and use the same button in your activation email when you’re ready.
If you’re not currently logged into Candide, you will be asked to create a Candide account (or log in if you have an account already). Once the account has been created, click the button to ‘Continue with activation’.
On the next page, enter your postcode then select ‘Continue’.
Confirm your first and last name then select ‘Continue’.
If there are other adults on the membership, confirm their first and last names.
Choose your marketing preferences.
Confirm that you’d like to complete the activation by selecting ‘Activate membership’.
You’ll receive confirmation of the membership activation via email and can now view the membership in your Account.
